| 38-55 Win; 75% blue, good bore, fair stock, 26'' barrel, Manufactured in 1900. Original blue finish octagon barrel, casehardened frame. Original walnut stock has been sanded and refinished. Silver blade fixed front sight, elevation adjustable rear sight. Stamped on top of the barrel with the Marlin address and patent dates 1887, 1889 and 1893 in two lines. Top of frame marked "MARLIN SAFETY". Upper tang marked "MODEL/1893". Frame has turned gray. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling, with light pitting throughout. C&R/FFL, s/n 2046xx |
