| 7x57mm; 89% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 22'' barrel, Chilean Carabineros issue, the Carabineros de Chile were an organization of national police formed in the late 1920's. These carbines were specifically contracted by Mauser Oberndorf in Germany for the Carabineros. This example has original blued finish with all matching serial numbers including the cleaning rod. Bolt in the white. The top of the receiver ring is marked with the Crossed rifles crest, surrounded by "CHILE ORDEN Y PATRIA" and "MODELO 1935". The Mauser 7-line Banner is located on top of the receiver bridge. German crown/B, U, G and N proofs located on the right side of the receiver ring. Walnut is clearly stamped on the left side of the buttstock with the Chilean crest and date 1935. Marking disc on the right side of the butt. Sling swivel bases for both bottom and side mounting. Inverted V prtected front sight. Tangent rear sight graduated from 100-1400 meters. Most metal finish loss is on the exposed barrel and receiver edges. Stock shows some handling with small dings and dents. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Older Sarco import, marked on the barrel along the bayonet lug., s/n 6xx |
