| Description: |
| 9mm Luger; 99% blue, 98% straw, very good bore, excellent grips, 8'' barrel, Near mint example of an Artillery model Luger produced by Mauser (BIKW) circa 1935 for commercial sales with most being assembled for A.F. Stoeger Inc in New York, and the Artillery model Lang Pistole is likely the most scarce with low production estimated to be about 25 guns. See the book "Luger-The Multi-National Pistol" by Charles Kenyon Jr. pages 168-171. Original blue finish, strawed small parts, fire blued finish toggle pins, rear sight elevation adjustment and grip screws, and checkered walnut grips. Numbered parts are matching, being numbered in the commercial style. DWM monogram marked toggle. American Eagle motif over the chamber. Commercial crown/N proofs on left receiver, bottom of barrel and left side of breechbolt. "SAFE" marked left toggle housing, "LOADED" marked extractor. The right side of the receiver is stamped "GERMANY" and "A.F. STOEGER INC/NEW YORK". The right side frame rail is stamped "GENUINE LUGER-REGISTERED U.S. PATENT OFFICE.". The "GERMANY" export marking also appears across the front of the frame. Original sheet steel wood bottom magazine is unmarked. A very exceptional example of a very rare Artillery variation, it is doubtful you would be able to find this variant in better condition for sale. Mechanically fine and clean. Bore shows light frost throughout. C&R/FFL, s/n 7xx, Catalog Number AR-10 |
