| 44-40 Winchester; good bore, very good grips, 3.25'' barrel, Double action revolver manufactured c.1880's. Factory original nickel finish with checkered hard rubber grips. Birdshead butt frame. Matching assembly numbers on cylinder and barrel. Round barrel with fixed sight. Stamped on the left side "HOPKINS & ALLEN MFG. CO. NORWICH CONN. U.S.A." over patent dates 1877, 1880, 1882 and 1883. Fixed spur casehardened hammer. The right side of the frame is stamped "MERWIN HULBERT CO. N/POCKET ARMY". The left side is marked "CALIBER/WINCHESTER 1873". 95% nickel finish with light scratches and tiny dings. Mechanically fine. The bore is bright, shows some light corrosion along the rifling grooves.
