| 44-40 Winchester; fair bore, good grips, 7'' barrel, Manufactured c. 1880's. Factory nickel finish with checkered hard rubber grips. Bridshead grip frame. Scooped cylinder flutes. Matching assembly number on the cylinder. The barrel is not numbered, stamped in the spot usually numbered with a "D". Round barrel with fixed sight, stamped on the top in a single line with the Merwin Hulbert address and patent dates 1874, 1876, and 1877. The left side of the barrel is stamped with the Hopkins & Allen address. Left frame marked with the caliber designation "CALIBRE/WINCHESTER 1873". Nickel finish is at 90% with areas of dulling and spotting. Mechanically in fine condition. The bore has some pitting. Antique, s/n 26xx |
