| 8mm Mauser; 95% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 23'' barrel, Approximately 1000 of these sporting Krag rifles were produced, the last serial number known was number 2592, this rifle numbered 2583. Manufactured from surplus Krag rifles fitted with new barrels chambered for the standard 7.92x57mm Mauser cartridge. Beechwood stock with checkered grip. Fixed front sight, fixed flip rear sight with two leafs. Matching serial number bolt. 8.5 inch cleaning rod in end of forend. Serrated steel buttplate. Spring kept barrel band with sling swivels. Nice metal. The stock is over all very good however there is a repaired crack on the left side in front of the magazine sideplate. Mechanically fine with a bright sharp bore. C&R/FFL, s/n 25xx |
