A Swiss contract Peabody rifle as manufactured in Providence RI circa 1867. In NRA Antique FINE condition. Mechanically solid rifle that has not been messed with. Clearly marked receiver. The Peabody action was developed by Henry O. Peabody from Boston, Massachusetts, and was first patented on July 22, 1862.
