| 10.4mm; 60% blue, good bore, good stock, 33'' barrel, SWISS PEABODY 1862 MILITARY RIFLE MADE BY THE PROVIDENCE TOOL CO IN ANTIQUE FINE CONDITION. THE LEFT RECEIVER IS MARKED "PEABODY PAT JULY 22 1862". THE BLUING ON THE BARREL HAS DULLED BUT IS MOSTLY THERE. THE RECEIVER BEARS JUST TRACES OF ITS CASE COLORS. THE BARREL BANDS ARE IN THE WHITE. THE BORE IS SEMI BRIGHT WITH GOOD RIFLE AND LIGHT OXIDATION PRESENT. THE BUTTSTOCK HAS A HAIRLINE CRACK ON THE RIGHT SIDE ABOVE THE LOCK ALONG WITH SHOWING LIGHT DINGS AND SCRAPES. THE FOREARM IS SOLID SHOWING LIGHT HANDLING MARKS. |
