| 9mm Luger; 92% blue, 75% straw, Good bore, very good grips, 4'' barrel, Original blue finish, strawed small parts and matching number checkered walnut grips. All matching except the proper variation magazine which is numbered 2685b and is Erfurt proofed. Unit marked on the front grip frame strap B.2.T.S.3.228. (Bavarian Train Battalion 2, Ambulancer, 3rd Company, weapon 228). Stamped on top of the toggle with the DWM monogram and on top of the chamber with the date 1911. Standard Imperial proofs and military acceptance marks. No hold open or stock lug which is proper. The metal finish shows light sharp edge and high point holster wear. There is some spotting on the sideplate and some on the left side frame, and some light pitting on the left side of the muzzle. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling, showing light corrosion throughout. C&R/FFL, s/n 43xxe, Catalog Number D-271 |
