| 9mm Luger; 96% blue, 60% straw, Good bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, Original blue finish, strawed small parts and checkered walnut grips. Matching except the magazine, which is numbered 997t with a straight wing eagle/63 proof. The hold open is not numbered and the grips are not numbered or proofed. Stamped on top of the toggle with the Mauser code S/42 and on top of the chamber with the date 1936. The right side of the receiver is stamped with two droop wing eagle/63 proofs and a droop wing eagle military acceptance stamp. The right side of the barrel and left side of the breechbolt are stamped with droop wing eagle military acceptance stamps as well. A small droop wing eagle/63 proof appears on the left side of the barrel. The metal finish shows sharp edge wear and some hihg point holstering wear to the expected areas. The finish on the grip straps shows some thinning. The grips show some handling marks and slight wear to the points on the checkering. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 86xxk, Catalog Number M-18 |
