| 9mm Luger; 90% blue, fair bore, good grips, 4'' barrel, Blue finish with original matching checkered walnut grips. All matching except the proper variation magazine which is numbered 698x with a straight wing eagle/63 proof. The top of the toggle is stamped with the Mauser code S/42 and the top of the chamber is stamped with the date 1937. The right side of the receiver is stamped with two droopwing eagle/63 proofs and a droopwing eagle test proof. Other test proofs appear on the right side of the barrel and left side of the breechbolt. The left side of the barrel is stamped with a small droopwing eagle/63 proof. Originally a strawed variation S/42 1937, the strawed small parts have been polished bright. The sideplate, rails, muzzle ring and grip straps show evidence of finish touch up, most of the finish now faded from the grip straps. The left grip has a small chip missing under the safety lever. Mechanically fine. The bore shows wear and corrosion in the grooves. C&R/FFL, s/n 21xxq, Catalog Number M-42 |
