| 59 Caliber; good bore, good stock, 8.75'' barrel, One of the last military adopted single shot smoothbored percussion pistols. 1851 dated on the right side of the barrel breech. Unmarked otherwise except for unit markings on the bottom of the trigger guard "7.3 r./57". Round barrel with octagonal breech, fixed front and barrel tang notched rear sights. Brass mounted walnut stock. Full length steel backstrap. Action functions well as does the safety. Stock is overall good however there are cracks at the rear of the lock on the right side and thru the rear tie plate screw on the left side. Antique, s/n 73rxx |
