| 43 Spanish; good bore, fair stock, 35'' barrel, Metal in the white, mounted in a walnut stock. The upper tand is stamped with the Remington's address and patent dates in three lines. Three U marked tension kept iron bands with original cleaning rod. Fixed front and ladder style military rear sight graduated for 1000 yards. The right side of the buttstock is stamped with rack or unit numbers along with some carved initials. The left side is carved with initials and some other illegible marks. The heel of the butt is also stamped with numbers. The metal has some dark rust spotting. The stock has 1/2 inch hairline cracks behind both the upper and lower tangs. Mechanically fine.
