| 44 Centerfire; 50% blue, very good bore, good grips, 8'' barrel, Ex-military New Model Army revolver, private gunsmith converted for use with 44 Caliber Centerfire cartridges. Original blued finish with brass trigger guard and plain walnut grips. US inspector single letter initials on most of the parts, except the cylinder, which is un-marked. Cone shaped fixed front sight. Octagon barrel, stamped on the top "PATENTED SEPT. 14. 1858/REMINGTON & SONS, ILION NEW YORK U.S.A./NEW MODEL". Grips show wear and handling. Uneven wear on the metal with scattered spotting overall. The action functions well and the bore has shine and strong rifling. Antique., s/n 358xx |
