| 30-06 Cal; good bore, good stock, 24'' barrel, "High number" Rock Island produced M1903 rifle, worn original blued finish, walnut single lug finger grooved stock. The stock is stamped on the tip of the forend with a small letter "S". Bottom of grip stamped with a small serifed P firing proof and a previous owners initials are neatly carved in small letters just behind the trigger guard tang. RIA 10-18 barrel. Bolt is marked on top of the safety lug "NS". Parts are proper vintage milled parts. Nickeled brass oiler in butt trap, original M1907 leather sling attached, long half dated 1918, short half unmarked and slightly off shade color. The metal finish has worn mostly an even gray. The stock has a 1 inch hairline crack behind the receiver tang and the high hump handguard has a repaired crack on top running back from the upper end. The bore has strong rifling and a good muzzle, shows frost throughout. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 3235xx |
