| 280 Ross; 85% blue, very good bore, good stock, 26'' barrel, Straight pull bolt action sporting rifle, E grade with original blue finish, mounted in a checkered walnut stock. Stamped along the top of the receiver ring "ROSS RIFLE CO./CANADA/M-1910/PATENTED". Fixed front sight of the military pattern, fixed rear barrel mounted sight with one folding leaf marked for 500 yards with platinum sight line. The receiver bridge has a flip up peep sight. Internal box magazine with floorplate. The bolt is stamped on the bottom of the handle shank with a number which does not match the rifle number. Original sling hook rings on the stock. Fine checkered steel buttplate. The stock has a repaired chip of wood on the left side at the recoil bolt. Mechanically fine. Mechanically fine, bore may clean to much better condition. Note: These rifles have a different type of bolt head locking lug design and are of the type which there have been reports of "bolt blowback", this rifle should be checked by a competent gunsmith before use to make sure the bolthead is properly installed.
