| 16PF; poor bore, fair stock, 30.75'' barrel, Circa 1880s. Browned damascus barrels. 2 9/16 inch chambers, open chokes. Barrels likely shortened at some point. Walnut English style stock with checkered straight grip. Smooth barrel rib with silver inlay "J.P. SAUER U. SOHN, SUHL". Scroll leaf engraving on frame and lockplates. Left plate with silver inlay dog/pheasant, right plate with running deer. Left hammer screw is a replacement. Original forearm wedge has been replace with wood. The barrels have a few minor dents and a few areas of surface rust spotting. Forearm has some minor chipping along upper edges. Actions function fine. Barrels lock up fine., s/n 1163xx |
