| 303 SAVAGE; 60% blue, fair bore, fair stock, 26'' barrel, Manufactured in 1903. Receiver appears to be an old reblue, now showing wear. Full octagon barrel with original blued finish. Walnut stock sanded and refinished long ago. Fixed breaded front sight. Elevation adjustable rear sight. Original serrated steel buttplate with SVG logo at the toe. Original checkered plastic grip cap. Brass follower with cartridge counter. The metal has light surface rust, mainly on the barrel and lever. The checkering on the stock is now faint. The forend has a crack which runs along the full length of the bottom with plug repairs visible on the left side. The buttstock has a sliver of missing wood along the right side of the upper tang and a 1.5 inch crack. Mechanics are fine., s/n 437xx |
