| 303 British; very good bore, good stock, 25.25'' barrel, Savage manufacture and dated 1942. The metal finish is worn having turned evenly to mottled gray. Stocked in birchwood, the wood has been sanded long ago, no remaining legible markings. Non-matching Savage bolt with a "0" marked bolthead. 2 groove bore should scrub out to better condition, tight muzzle using the "bullet test". US Property stamped on top of the left receiver. Replaced parts are the M/47C marked doglegged safety, sling swivels, and a British M/56 marked proper No.4 rifle magazine. There are no import markings or British rebuild markings on this rifle. A commercial leather sling is attached and included., s/n 37C56xx |
