| 303 British; 50% blue, fair bore, fair stock, 25.25'' barrel, Manufactured by Savage during WW2 for the British, FTR marked on the left side of the receiver with traces of black paint finish on the metal. Beechwood stock with grooved lower handguard. FTR matching bolt. Not a recent import, with the "tons" export release markings on the end of the barrel. The bayonet lugs have been ground off the barrel. MKI F marked milled adjustable rear sight. The wood has been sanded with a coat of varnish applied. #1 bolt head. SMLE III number 4 pattern box magazine. Most small parts are British manufacture installed at time of FTR. Mechanically fine. The bore is a bit dark and rough, muzzle is snug. C&R/FFL, s/n 88C41xx |
