| 16 Gauge; 50% blue, very good bore, fair stock, 25'' barrel, Manufactured circa late 1940s by J Stevens for Shapleigh's Hardware stores. Original blue finish barrels, casehardened frame, mounted in checkered walnut. 2 9/16 inch chambers, barrels shortened to length with Cylinder chokes. Front and center brass bead sights. Stock shortened to 12 5/8 inch Length of Pull with newer plastic buttplate attached. The metal finish is turning brown with some light surface spotting over all. The wood has worn checkering, the stock has cracks on both sides at the lower corners behind the frame. Mechanically fine with good barrel lockup. C&R/FFL, s/n C268xx |
