| 52 RF; very good bore, good stock, 24'' barrel, Navy model, 24 inch barrel retaining the original leather cover attached to the barrel, missing the leather forend cover piece. Fixed front and tangent type rear sights. Original finish, casehardened frame turned mostly a lightly mottled gray. Walnut stock ahs been lightly sanded, brass buttplate. Marked on the left side of the frame "SHARPS/PATENT/1859" and on the right side "SHARPS/&/HANKINS/PHILADA.". Serial numbered on the upper tang. Firing pin located in the frame, later model. Mechanically fine. Antique, s/n 60xx |
