| 22 Long Rifle; 85% blue, good bore, good grips, 6'' barrel, 1st Model, manufactured 1931-1940. Original high polish blued finish, casehardened grooved trigger, casehardened fine checkered hammer. Factory checkered walnut diamond grips with gold washed S&W medallions, right panel is non-matching, left panel not numbered. Matching serial numbers on barrel and cylinder. Fixed patridge front sight. Adjustable rear sight. 5-screw square butt frame. Grooved grip frame straps. Marked on top of the barrel with the S&W address and patent dates 1906, 1909 and 1914 in two lines. Used condition, showing some finish loss on the sides of the barrels muzzle, light edge wear, light turn line on the cylinder and scattered handling scratches. Some flaking finish on both sides of the frame. The grips have an added light coat of varnish. Has been personalized with previous owners name engraved on the right side of the frame "Dr. T.M. Sayman, St. Louis, Mo. Dec. 15, 1932", with his initials monogramed on the left side of the frame as well. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 6382xx |
