| 44 S&W Russian; 92% blue, excellent bore, very good grips, 8'' barrel, Original bright blued finish round butt frame with checkered hard rubber grips. Casehardened checkered hammer and smooth trigger. Matching serial numbers on the barrel and cylinder. This revolver was a factory return for the installation of the 8 inch target barrel. The butt of the grip frame stamped with a five point star mark. The barrel is marked on top of the rib "SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD MASS. U.S.A.", with no other markings except the serial number which is stamped on the rear of the barrel extension. Blued steel beaded front sight, U notched cylinder stop, and U notched fine rear blade. The frame has finish edge wear mainly around the round hinge housing. Cylinder has wear around the front edges and an evident turn line. The action functions well, smooth, with perfect barrel lockup., s/n 304xx |
