| 9mm Largo; excellent bore, excellent grips, 6.25'' barrel, Manufactured in Spain circa 1918 by Esperanza Y Unceta. This pistol, though falling into the serial number range which was accepted by the Spanish military, is factory engraved in scroll pattern, fitted with pearllite grips and has been silver plated. See the excellent book by Leonardo M. Antaris "Astra Automatic Pistols" pages 33 and 41. It is mentioned that a few pistols may have been pulled at random from the military contract for presentation purposes. Matching serial numbers and complete with the original magazine which is nickel plated to match the pistol. Stamped on top of the receiver "CAMPO-GIRO/PAT. 34798-54212/1904-1913/ESPERANZA/Y/UNCETA/GUERNICA" and on the left side of the frame "PIST.a aut.a mod. 1913-16" over the serial number. This pistol is in excellent overall original condition and shows very little actual use. C&R/FFL, s/n 57xx |
