| 45-70 Government; 70% blue, good bore, excellent stock, 32 1/2'' barrel, This rifle features a standard pedestal front sight and Buffington rear military sight. Barrel marked: V/P / eagle / P at breech. Blued finish that has turned a rich brown with breechblock and lockplate with mottled case-hardening mixed with age patina. Case-hardened low-arch breechblock. Lockplate marked: U.S./Springfield / eagle. Walnut straight stock is sound with scattered light marks and wear. Sling mounts. Steel ramrod. Condition: Good to very good. Retaining approximately 25-35% finish, primarily in protected areas, the remainder mixed with grey patina. Breechblock and lockplate with mottled case-hardening mixed with age patina. Wood sound with scattered light marks and wear. The bore has a light frost with strong dark rifling., s/n 1064xx |
