| 45-70 Cal; Good bore, poor stock, 32.5'' barrel, Springfield Armory manufacture, standard rifle with Buffington rear sight. The metal has turned a blue/patina mix with some surface spotting. Mounted in walnut, the stock has been sanded with no visible markings with a sliver of wood missing on the right side behind the forend tip and a crack on the right side running from the tang down towards the back of the lockplate. Mechanically fine. The bore has strong rifling, with some surface rust and light pitting throughout. Missing the cleaning rod. Antique., s/n 3643xx |
