| 45-70 Govt; good bore, very good stock, 32.5'' barrel, Original finish aged to dark patina. Generous color case hardening on the breechblock. Walnut stock with strong 1891 dated inspector cartoucheand script circle P firing proof on the bottom of the grip. V. P and eagleshead proofs located over the left side of the barrel breech. Buffington rear sight. Lockplade and side of the hammer have worn mostly bright. Some light surface rust spotting on the metal. Lock and breechbolt function well. The barrels bore has shine and strong rifling, does have some light corrosion throughout. Antique., s/n 5111xx |
