| 30-40 Krag; 70% blue, very good bore, very good stock, 20'' barrel, SEMI SPORTERIZED SPRINFIELD MODEL 1898 KRAG RIFLE. THE BARREL HAS BEEN CUT DOWN TO 20" ALONG WITH THE STOCK. THE BLUING SHOWS HEAVY WEAR AND FINISH LOSS ON THE TRIGGER GUARD AND BAND. THE RECEIVER SHOWS OXIDATION ON THE MAGAZINE DOOR AND BASE. THE BORE IS BRIGHT WITH VERY GOOD RIFLING. THE BUTTSTOCK AND HANDGUARD ARE SOLID SHOWING NUMEROUS LIGHT DINGS, SCRATCHES AND COMPRESSION DENTS. THE LEFT STOCK BEARS A SHARP IMSPECTORS CARTOUCHE DATED 1902., s/n 1266xx |
