| 30-06 SPRG; 60% blue, fair bore, good stock, 24'' barrel, Low number receiver with SA 6-17 barrel. Snipers rifle, set up for the Warner Swasey M1913 telescopic sight. The base is not numbered, scope is not serial numbered. Original blued finish has thinned and faded overall. Two lug finger grooved walnut stock. Original Hoyt 1918 dated M1907 leather sling. Stock has a faint circled block P firing proof on the bottom of the grip. J stamped inside the cutoff recess, and is stamped with a five point star on the right side of the butt. There are 2 cracks in the stock behind the receiver tang with a metal zig zag inserted to block the cracks. No other legible markings. Small parts all appear correct vintage. Straight handle bolt marked S on rear lug and 8 on the shank. The M1913 telescopic sight is in good condition on the exterior. Optics are smoked and spotted, crosshair visible and intact. Fits and locks on the dovetailed base well. Comes with the original leather carrying case maker marked from Diamond D. Missing the shoulder strap. Includes tool. Small upstrap for the tool pouch torn., s/n 6651xx |
