| 30-06 Springfield; very good+ bore, very good stock, 24'' barrel, Late manufacture 1903A1 National Match rifle. SA 3-39 star gauged, the end of the muzzle is stamped at the 6 and 1 o'clock with the star mark. Barrel is stamped on top, under the handguard "A2229". Bore is near excellent, bit dull in the grooves, muzzle=1+. Light parkerized metal finish is very good. A few small parts blued. Polshed bolt N.S. marked with swept handle, two gas ports. Walnut type C stock marked "S" twice in the cutoff recess, with the drawing number D1836 on the bottom of the butt. Handguard stamped on top with the NM part number as well, D28179. Coarse checkered buttplate with number C63929. Nickeled brass oiler inside the butt trap. NM follower, marked B147172-4. Receiver has two gas ports, large on the left. Standard military front and ladder rear sights. Receiver bridge mounted Lyman 48C sight with matching numbered base and slide. The handguard has a tight crack on the top, from the front running back for about 3 1/2". Shipped in a CMP plastic hard case., s/n 15112xx |
