| 58 Rimfire; very good+ bore, very good stock, 37.75'' barrel, One of 5000 rifle muskets converted at Springfield Armory in 1865. Lock marked with the American Eagle motif and "U.S./SPRINGFIELD" with the date 1865 at the rear behind the hammer. Bright metal finish. Walnut stock, faint inspector cartouche on the left side. US marked buttplate tang. Original leather sling. In overall very good original condition, lock functions well, bright bore. Antique. |
