| 45-70 GOVT; 50% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 22'' barrel, Original blued finish mixing with patina. Casehardened breechblock marked "U.S./MODEL/1873". Walnut stock with legible ESA/1877 inspector cartouche on the left side. US marked buttplate with trap for cleaning rod sections. Fixed front sight, 1873 pattern ladder rear sight with graduation to 1200 yards, not C marked. U marked barrel band without provision for stacking swivel, swivel deleted in 1879. Two piece trigger guard without swivel. Action functions well and the bore is bright and sharp. Includes consignors data sheet. Antique, s/n 751xx |
