| 8x60mmR; 50% blue, very good+ bore, good stock, 32'' barrel, Portuguese contract Kropatschek rifle, manufactured in Austria by Steyr and dated 1886. Portuguese crest located on the left side of the receiver. Original blued finish. Walnut stock. Matching stock, bolt is mis-matched. Original cleaning rod in left side of stock. Visible Portuguese crest on left side of buttstock and Steyr roundel on right side of stock. Fixed front inverted V sight. Ladder rear sight. The metal finish has aged mostly patina with spotting overall. The stock shows handling and oil soaking with a 1/2 inch crack behind the receiver tang, a 2 inch crack on the left side of the stock toe, and a small crack on the right side of the toe. The bore is bright with strong rifling. Magazine cutoff functions as it should., s/n 02xx |
