| Description: |
| Manufactured in England circa 1850s. Browned finish Damascus part octagon barrel with bead front sight. Mounted in a walnut stock with checkered wrist, single wedge forend with bone cap. Ramrod appears to be original. Gold bands over the chamber. Scroll leaf engraving on lock and small iron stock mountings. Marked on the lockplate "TIPPING & LAWDEN" and on top of the barrel "TIPPING & LAWDEN LONDON". The stock is over all good, there are two old cracks on the left side of the butt, one on the right side and a tiny chip of wood missing on the right side upper edge of the forend. The action works well. Antique |
