| 577 Caliber; fair bore, fair stock, 31.5'' barrel, P/55 Sappers and Miners Carbine. Tower/1858 marked lockplate. Metal in the white. Brass mounted walnut stock with a faint roundel with 1883 sale date above on the right side of the butt. British proofing over the left side of the barrel. Metal has been cleaned. Stock has been sanded, with repaired cracks/breaks at the lower front of the lockplate running down the the trigger guard on the right side, and on the left side between the front brass tie plate running back and down to the trigger guard. The lock functons fine. Antique |
