| 30-06 Springfield; good bore, fair stock, 24'' barrel, Winchester M1 rifle manufactured ca. August 1942-February 1943. In good overall condition. Parkerized metal finish. Walnut stock which has an illegible cartouche, barely visible "G" and ordnance wheel. Major components are Winchester mfr. Finish appears original on the receiver showing the annealed two toning at the rear. Winchester barrel, oval proofed and stamped "2" and "P" with single peen mark, parkerized breech face. The bore is clean and bright. The muzzle gauges .301 and the chamber TE gauges approx 1.5. Receiver right leg - D28291-2. Bolt - D28287-1 WRA. Operating rod - D35382 WRA with small relief cut. Trigger housing - D28290 WRA. Hammer - C46008-1 WRA. Safety - C46015-4 WRA. Milled trigger guard - C46025 WRA. Rear sight - proper lockbar type. Gas cylinder is SA. Proper front sight with screw seal and wide wings. Single slot cylinder lock crew without poppet valve. Grooved handguard clip. Grooved milled lower band with solid pin. Late type follower rod fork. The stock shows wear with dings an dents, poor buttplate fit. Upper handguard has filler repairs along the bottom edges. Includes a post war M1 web sling and a CMP hard case., s/n 12476xx |
