| WWI/ WWII US Army Gunner's Quadrant. This is a gun clinometer which was an instrument used to set machine gun elevation or depression angles for Browning 1917 or artillery weapons like Howitzers. They were also used for checking adjustments or elevation on sighting devices. It has come scattered paint loss, and it comes with the case. The front of the carrying case is stamped 39-8-26 / CASE CARRING M18. The case is worn but still supple and the stitching is intact and tight, the shoulder straps are in good condition. The front of the flap stud has pulled thru the leather. |
