| 30-06 Cal; fair bore, fair stock, 24'' barrel, Chinese lend lease rifle during WW2. Rebuid with an SA 8-19 barrel and some Remington made parts: upper band, cuttoff, bolt body. Chinese markings appear on both sides of the rear sight base. Worn original metal finish, mounted in a two lug finger groove walnut stock. Low number Rock Island receiver, not considered safe for firing. Illegible import marking under the end of the barrel. The metal finish is worn with spotting and some areas of minor-light pitting. The stock has dings overall, with a repair using a bolt run thru the wrist to stabilize a break on the right side. The upper end of the handguard has a crack running back from the band for about 4 inches. Mechanically fine. The bore is worn and dark and the muzzle has been counterbored. C&R/FFL, s/n 2594xx |
