| 7.5X53.5MM; 80% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 21.75'' barrel, Very rare Swiss cavalry issue Mannlicher straight pull bolt action carbine. One of just over 4000 produced by Sig Neuhausen c.1897. Not many of these survived in original configuration due to hard use and even intentional damage as they were not well received by troops. Serial number 3140 with a matching serial number bolt, magazine and forend nose cap. 6 round detachable box magazine. Swiss military proofed and +/S inspector halmark. P33 private purchase marked. Blued finish shows wear on high points and edges, top of the receiver bridge where there is some surface rust spots. Walnut stock and handguard with a strong +S in shield stamp on the right side of the butt. Drift adjustable front sight blade. Tangent rear sight graduated for 1200 meters with a flip up 400 meter blade. Original leather sling. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. Muzzle=7.52. Antique, s/n 31xx |
