| 9.5x47mmR; 95% blue, excellent bore, good stock, 30'' barrel, Single shot bolt action target rifle. 71 Mauser type bolt action. Browned finish octagon barrel with guarded fixed front sight having a fine post. Drift adjustable rear sight with key adjustable elevation. The top of the barrel is engraved with script initials "W.C.S." over SUHL. The top of the barrel over the chamber is stamped "GUSSSTAHL". Casehardened receiver and upper tang with blue etched engraving. The upper tang has an integral base mout for an aperture sight. Ornate casehardened trigger guard/grip with double set triggers. Walnut schutzen butt with casehardened buttplate. The stock ahs a checkered grip with a right hand cheekrest. Forend held with a single wedge. Ebony forend tip. 1 inch sling swivels. There is a crack on the left side of the forend at the tips upper edge and there are scattered minor dings on the wood. The bore is bright and sharp, chambering is a guesstimate and will need to be determined by a competent gunsmith. Antique., s/n 19xx |
