| 95% blue, Rare .455 Webley Villar Perosa machine gun magazine. The Villar Perosa design machine gun was an Italian WW1 vintage twin gun with a high rate of fire chambered for the 9mm Glisenti cartridge, which was considered too low powered for any effective use no matter the application. The British expressed interest in the design and produced a copy or similar weapon chambered for the .455 Webley Automatic cartridge, intended it is believed for aircraft use. The gun used a 25 round box magazine for each barrel. This example magazine is very rugged, made of heavy rolled sheet steel with a blued finish. Brass follower with side thumbpieces which aid the loading process. In very good original condition. It is not likely there are many (if any) extra magazines for these guns available for sale, as most ended up as scrap or reside in museums, and production of these guns and their accessories and extra parts was very low.
