| 22 LONG RIFLE; 90% blue, excellent bore, very good stock, 31'' barrel, 1889 rifle, manufactured in 1893, converted later to single shot chambered for 22 LR with a barrel insert installed. Matching bolt and buttplate. Blued finish, walnut stock and handguard. Sharp Cross in Shield stamps on the right side of the buttstock and top of handguard. "P/08" private purchase marked on top of the receiver. Magazine modifed with a set screw installed through the left side, non detachable. Sprung loading tray in the magazine. Rear sight base has a screw added on the left side which limits the range to the 800 meter mark. Short throw bolt. Mechanically fine. Unmarked as to the conversion however is expertly done. Bore has a little fouling however is bright with sharp rifling. Bolt knobs have some damage on the ends. Antique., s/n 1251xx |
