| Description: |
| 7.5x55mm; 80% blue, good bore, good stock, 30.75'' barrel, Unusual Private series rifle. P. prefix added to serial number on left side of the receiver. Right side of receiver chamber is retailer marked "GEBRUDER WIDMER". Right side of the stock butt has a brass oval inlayed with name "T.Anderegg". Original blued finish. Walnut stock and handguard, which are a little fancier grade than normally seen on the military issue rifles. Matching magazine. The bolt appears to have had the serial number neatly machined off? Also, the lower sling swivel base, lower barrel band and front sight base are serial numbered externally and matching the rifle, the upper band is matching as well, numbered on the inside. Remains of paper labels are present on the upper forend and handguard. Commercial braided leather sling attached. The metal finish and wood show some age and handling. There is a small natural wood blemish split on the bottom of the stock at the back corner of the magazine well. The exposed metal has scattered minor rust spotting. The bore shows some frost in the grooves and a bit of wear at the chamber throat. Good muzzle., s/n P6486 P64xx |
