| 44-40 Win; 95% blue, very good bore, good stock, 20'' barrel, Manufactured in 1918. All metal has been reblued. Original walnut stock has been sanded and refinshed, overall good however there is a crack on the tip of the forend. Round barrel with fixed front sight and folding ladder rear sight. Marked over the left side of the barrel with the Winchester address and 1884 patent date in two lines. Caliber marking over left side of the barrels chamber. Marked on the upper tang "MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. IN U.S. PAT. OFF. & FGN". Oval proofs on top of barrel, not visible on frame. Also has German commercial import proofing with a 1972 proof date. Sling swivels have been added on the bottom of the barrel band and stock. Mechanically fine. Import marked. C&R/FFL, s/n 8627xx |
