| 44-40 Win; good bore, good stock, 19'' barrel, Manufactured in 1912. Metal worn to silvery gray with scattered dark spotting and some minor-light pitting. Original walnut stock. Round barrel shortened approximately 1 inch with original fixed front sight and folding rear ladder sight, the barrel support band moved behind the sight. Marked over the left side of the barrel with the Winchester address and 1884 patent date in two lines. Caliber marking over left side of the barrels chamber. Marked on the upper tang "MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. IN U.S. PAT. OFF.". Oval proofs on top of barrel chamber and frame are a faint. Also has German commercial eagle/N proofing. Mechanically fine. Import marked. C&R/FFL, s/n 6775xx |
