| 44 WCF; good bore, fair stock, 20'' barrel, Manufactured in 1893. Metal worn mostly gray with scattered spotting and light pitting. Original walnut stock has been sanded and refinshed, some reshaping on the buttstock. Round barrel with fixed front sight and folding ladder rear sight. Marked on top of the barrel with the Winchester address and 1884 patent date in two lines. Caliber marking on top of the barrels chamber. Marked on the upper tang "MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/PAT. OCT. 14, 1884.". Also has German commercial import proofing. Mechanically fine. C&R/FFL, s/n 2966xx |
