| 38-40 Win; 40% blue, good bore, fair stock, 24.25'' barrel, Manufactured in 1905. Original blue finish and plain walnut stock. Full octagon barrel, fixed front sight with silver blade, buckhorn style rear sight. Stamped on top of the barrel with the Winchester address and patent dates in two lines. Oval proofs appear on top of the barrel and frame. The upper tang is stamped "MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK". A previous owners initials are hand stamped on top of the barrel "WB" and on the bottom of the frame "WKB". Import marked on the bottom of the frame. The metal finish is thinning evenly with some browning. The buttstock has two long cracks on the left side and a repaired crack at the tang behind the frame. Mechanically fine, light frost in the bore. C&R/FFL, s/n 3026xx |
