| 32 WCF; 50% blue, fair bore, good stock, 34 3/8'' barrel, Manufactured in 1917. Original blue finish and plain walnut stock with crescent butt. Full octagon barrel with fixed front and elevation adjustable rear sights. Stamped over the left side of the barrel with the Winchester address and patent dates in two lines. Oval proofs on top of the barrel and frame. Stamped on top of the upper tang "MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/TRADE MARK REG. U.S. PAT. OFF & F.G.N.". The finish on the frame has turned brown, and there is light spotting over all on the metal surfaces. The wood shows wear and handling. German commercial proofing on the bottom of the frame and import marked. Mechanically fine, the bore has shine and strong rifling, with scattered areas of pitting. C&R/FFL, s/n 8320xx |
