| 25-20 WCF; fair bore, good stock, 24'' barrel, Manufactured in 1903 with blued barrel, casehardened frame, walnut stock and forend and full length magazine tube. Marked on top of the barrel with the two line address and patent date and on top of the chamber with the caliber designation 25-20 W.C.F. The upper tang is marked "MODEL 1892/-WINCHESTER-/PAT. OCT. 14, 1884". The metal has surface rust and minor pitting overall, with only traces of the blue finish remaining on the barrel. The frame has worn bright with only traces of case color on the bottom flat and near the hammer. The wood is solid with minor dings and scuffs. The bore has visible rifling however has corrosion throughout. The buckhorn rear sight leaf is missing the elevation thumb slider. Mechanically fine., s/n 2327xx |
